Top speed for the 350?
So our limiter is around 150-155. I've hit that with a good couple thousand RPMS left in fifth gear and the whole of sixth gear to go.
I know that past that speed, aerodynamkics start to play a serious roll but with all that grunt left in the engine (she was definitely trying to nudge past the limiter) and a whole gear left to go. What is the actual top speed of the 350?
What do you guys think? I'm guessing we could grab 180 and maybe scratch for 190. 200 mph is a lot harder to achieve than most people think but who knows, maybe the 350 is a 200mph machine.

Floor it coming down the long straight away off a mtn and you'll hit 155 lol. I hit the limiter at 14-ish but I managed to eek past it when I kept the pedal down. I know that's cheating but she was still nudging at her limiter. It's what inspired me to ask the question in the first place.
I think the car's got more in it than 165, I'd like to be optimistic and guess for 180 at least. the way she was pushing at 155 but then again there is that report from asia.
As for hitting a tree. It was three in the morning coming into flatlands of colorado so There wasn't a lot to hit. Though had I slipped off the road I'm almost sure I would have flipped...I mean flipped through the air and died probably so I doubt I'll be doing that again.

I pegged my '69 Mustang when I was a teenager, at 125mph. Scary stuff. I have had the IS up to 100, but very weary of running that fast. Old age will always increase you awareness of your mortality. I am old, and this makes a big difference. I like going quickly, but not necessarily fast. There is a big difference in going 0-60 super fast and running wide open at 175mph. If this is what you like, more power to you. I will continue to punch it from light to light and then stroll on home to my bourbon and Coke. : )
