Seems there would be way too many variables for there to be an insurance cost thread. State and city you live in, driving record, age, etc.... I pay $1,200 a year for full coverage on the IS and for a Honda Accord. I do get a multi policy discount because I use my insurance provider for my homeowner's policy as well. Significantly less that what a few people have mentioned here already, but I am in NC (not CA), and haven't had a moving violation in more than 20 years....... Just shop around and get the best quote you can with comparable coverages. Be very careful when it comes to this! You can get cheaper insurance, but have LESS insurance. Make sure it is an apples for apples comparison.

I'm with Safeco. It's not the biggest insurance company but they did give me the best quote compared to the big ones. 22 years old, 100k/300k coverage with 1k deductible for $2200 annually. My record is clean though. No tickets (I'm a safe driver! ).

There's plenty of 2IS "insurance threads" if you search.

But there are too many variables here, and what others pay doesn't really help you much. You still don't know everything about them - credit history, full driving record, coverage limits, deductibles, etc. These are all things that will affect the price of insurance.

This.

Also- location. I've seen insurance rates vary massively based not only on state, but even zip code within the state.

All that said- USAA, if you can get it.

I pay about $600/yr for full coverage, $0 deductible for glass/fire/theft, on an IS350.

While there are a lot of variables....I think the average most people are paying is somewhere of 1K - 1.2K per year for full coverage (medical, uninsured, comprehensive for any damage, and low or zero deductible)

Don't forget that some if not all insurance providers will give you an extra discount if you are married. So, drive to Vegas and marry your honey.:
