I think he's trying to point out that hid kits don't belong in halogen headlamps without a fisheye lens with a cutoff shield. Now if you have the latter, I don't see the issue.

It's not just that. Even halogen projectors are engineered and built for halogen bulbs in mind. He goes in depth to talk about how an HID bulb and halogen bulb projects light differently too. Yes, an HID kit will be better in a projector than a reflector (because projectors have cutoffs), but that doesn't make it right (or legal).

Interesting read. I always see those mid 90's Civics and trucks with really bad glare, esp the ones with 8k hid kits installed. I've never really noticed another Lexus with this issue, is the glare from an hid kit really bad with the ISs?
