Drive Belt Replacement
I have a question about replacing the Drive Belt on my 2007 IS250. I have about 60K on my car, and i'm about to do the 60K maintenance myself.
No where does it say to replace the drive belt, nor the dealer or Lexus? Is this a lifetime belt or what? Is this also called the timing belt? People say timing belts should be replaced every 30-50K?
Thanks Guys!

Our cars don't use a timing belt, they utilize a timing chain that will pretty much last the life of the vehicle but if you keep your car for the long run will at some points need a new timing chain tensioner and chain guides.
As for the drive belts our cars actually use a serpentine belt and I would not bother with it unless you see signed of cracks on the ribs, signs of dry rotting or you get belt squeal at different engine speeds.

Serp belts, like brake pads, brake rotors, and windshield wipers, should be replaced when they need to be replaced.
This won't be at "X miles" it'll be when they need to be replaced. Depending on the car, the conditions in which it's driven, how it's driven, etc this can vary greatly.
It's not that hard to visually inspect the belt every so often (every oil change would be ideal, but at least every 15k when you're checking the under-hood air filter anyway) so when you see signs it needs replacement, replace it.
