I have 2 JL 12" w6v2s wired down to 1 ohm powered by a DD amp pushing 1000 watts rms. Used this box:

Sounds awesome, I have a bass **** under the streering wheel made by PAC which helps with adjusting bass to different types of music.

robert this is what I have

for some reason I've always had the notion that the 2IS requires significantly more work than many other cars when it comes to audio setups, maybe I am wrong, but thats why I need some help

You'll need an amp, power wire and a fuse. There is a thread on here with the info. DIY power wire install.

Vroomin you need to buy an amp that wont over power that sub...the one i have is 600 rms which might destroy that thing depending what Ohms it runs at. Can you unscrew it from the box and read the model # on the back of the speaker?
