Here's my headlights I smoked i while back....
They've got a few big rock chips in em and the clear coat around the chips started lifting a bit from wind getting under the material. sorry for the blurry pic
So I sanded all of the material off. Starting off with 500 wet or dry sand paper, then 600 wet, 800 wet, 1000 wet, and finished off with1500 wet
BAM! smoked

new carbon fiber oem trunk spoiler(ebay), cf roof spoiler(ebay), and fabulous rep front cf lip(vis)
sanding em down to put a nice couple glossy coats of clear on em. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE WITH CARBON FIBER PARTS!!! Everyone will tell you the carbon fiber parts you buy from them has a "UV protectant" gel coat on em to protect from the sun...it doesnt protect after a few months. At least in AZ it doesnt haha.

All the carbon fiber stuff ready to be clear coated in the booth, along with the headlights
MMmmmm.......shiny carbon fiber!
Here im filling the holes on the filler panel from the trunk where i took off the "lexus" and "is 350" emblems. Im using a 2 part epoxy used to fix plastic urethane bumpers.
and then that piece primered
