After you wet sanded the headlights, what did you use to restore clarity? They look brand new. Do you still have any residual fine scratches?

You would clear coat them with automotive clear coat. something that uses a hardener will have the most protection. Rattle can clear coats wont hold up. I did a light smoke on the lights before i cleared them though. Just use a wax and grease remover to wipe them down before you clear coat them. Oh and as long as you sand them with all the steps like said(500 wet or dry sanding, 600,800.....and so on), you wont have any fine scratches or anything visible on the lens. The clear coat fills all the scratches

So you didn't buff the scratches out of the headlights after they were sanded? You just sprayed them w/ clear coat? I'm lost. I wet sanded my headlights w/ 1500, then 2000, and buffed w/ compound but still have scratches.

That's correct. U don't polish the lights once u get to the 1500 stage, u just mask em up and clear coat them with at least 2 coats of clear. The lights need to remain somewhat abrassive to have some bite to em so the clear coat has something to stick to. Same concept as sanding a car down to paint it. It needs to be abrassive so the primer or paint or clear can adhere to it. If u have any more questions about it or want a step by step to do it, u can PM me
Ok, the body guy told me, with the window down, u have to stand in front of the door and put your fingers behind the molding and kind of lift and roll towards u and the molding should pop off. It does take some finess though. I know I hate taking off belt moldings haha
Thanks a lot for all the kind words guys! She's all back together with the exception of the roof and deck lid spoilers goin on tomorrow! Pics are comin soon!!!
