Default so what is CL goto tire for the stocker 18" rims?

I've got a set of snow tires so the summer ones don't need to be all season, but I'm not necessarily opposed to them if they meet my criteria.. Looking for a well-rounded tire in terms of cost, wear, performance, and noise. The Hankook V12 seem popular. I had the BFG KDW2 on my Supra and thought they were decent. How about the RE760 sport?

Personally, I would say Michelin Pilot Super Sport is the ultimate summer tire but if you can't spend around $900 for a set, than go with Continental DW.

thanks for the reply. The DWs look nice, though, the all season's last 60% longer than the max summer. Even though I have a set of winters, the additional tread life might be worth the difference in performance.

I would not go with the continental they bubble easy on the side walls. I had to replace the one on my girl car after only 4k. Won't buy them again.

thanks for the reply. Was that anecdotal or have you seen other complain about that as well? Was that covered under the warranty? Were they the DW or DWS? What's your recommendation?

by far, the two best recommended tire will be Michelin PSS or the Hankook evo v12. If you can afford the PSS then go nuts. Otherwise i wouldn't bother to look at anything else besides the hankooks v12

I like the Dunlop SP Sport Maxx's.

Had them when I first got the car and loved them so much I'm replacing with the same tires again. They perform excellent on hard turns and handle great in wet weather situations too. I love the grip they have on the road. Very comfortable for doing a little "spirited" driving

My only gripes are that they can be expensive (especially the 255 rears) and because they are grippy tires, they can be noisier at times than other tires....but that's a trade off I don't really mind

If you're looking for great tires at a (somewhat) cheap price, Hankook Ventus V12's might be more your thing tho!

Did you only have one bubble? If so, that doesn't necessarily mean they bubble easily. Many tires will bubble if you hit a pot hole hard enough, especially on the factory 225/40/18s. That's not too big of a sidewall.

hankook ventus v12 is the best combo of value/performance if you have extra cash then the pilot sport is the way to go

They were the dws and I bought them online. Yeah read the review it common issue. Both fronts had bubble side walls. To get the warranty they said to fill in the paper work and return the tires. Then they would look at it. So I said forget it not worth me paying the shipping cost to them see if it's covered. By the the last set of tires she had was the 225/45/17 dunlop which lasted till 45k on the 250awd original since the first day we bought the car. Here a recent review

I have BFG KDWs currently on my 350. Once you get over the road noise they're killer tires. Superior sidewalls for cornering, great wet/dry traction, typical 320 tread wear, and made in the US. Oh, and they hold up great on - cambered cars...like mine. I was actually surprised that within 3 months I didn't have any excessive inner tire wear with no camber suspension adjustments on 2.5" lowered ride.

If you have a budget Falken FK-452's, Hankook V12 or Nitto Invo's. All a very good tires in their price range.

Thanks. It doesnt appear that you can get those tires in the correct size though. Both tirerack and dunlop websites dont list them...
