Default What color are your side view mirrors?

I just bought an 06 is350 an noticed that my drivers and passengers mirror are different colors. The drivers side has a blue tint to it while the passengers side has a gold tint to it. I wanted to see what color someone elses mirrors were. I have the luxury package if that matters.

Thanks Jason

Maybe your car had a prior accident and need to get the mirror replaced. I am assuming the mean the actual mirror and not the mirror housing.

you 06-350 is most likely a lux package therefore you got auto dimming mirrors for some reason one of the mirrors got switched out with a none auto dimming mirror

I too have an '06 350 But w/ sport package and my mirrors are auto-dimming, maybe it wasn't only in the Luxury pkg?

Ok your thread has got me confused now. I've remember seeing my mirror both in golden and blue tint at different times but haven't really noticed it carefully

Will see and let you know tomorrow morning.

Yes I am talking about the mirror itself. The drivers is a blueish color and I'm starting to think that maybe there is a problem with the auto dimming of that mirror. They look there colors during the day. Ill have to see what they do at night. I was more less interested in that color they are suposed to be during the day.

I had a chance to to test the auto dimming in my car. If I put my finger over the light sensor on the back of the rear view mirror during the day all three mirrors dim. It seems as if the drivers mirror is not un-dimming all the way because it stays this light blue color during the day. I don't know if maybe the mirror is wearing out or something is wrong with it.

Just as a point of info, yes, the auto dim/tilt side mirrors come in both the luxury and sport (but NOT F-sport) packages

There are 2 sensors on the rear view mirror one on the back that senses when its dark out, and the one on the front that senses light from cars behind you.
