Default 19" Rims on IS AWD with no plans on lowering

I am looking at upgrading the stock 17" RIMS and tires which came stock. I live in Ontario so the roads are so so with pot holes and other obstacles, but for the most part decent.

My tire guy is telling me I should look at 18's for comfort and looks when the car is not lowered....

What do you think, any pics of an IS with 18's/19's and not lowered.

I have winters already in fact they are on my stock Lexus rims.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Dude, trust me when I say you will need a drop if you run 18's, 19's or even stock 17's. Grab a set of F-Sports for a modest drop that will eliminate most of the fender gap - that's what I did and I love it!

18's help - but you will need to drop. I changed my stock 17's to F-Sport 18's and it, as you can imagine closed the gap but..... F-Sport Springs are my next big mod.

Agreed. You may also consider aftermarket as well if you're looking for linear springs as the F-Sports is progressive.

For me, my car has the factory sport spring as per the F-Sport package. I am currently looking myself as aftermarket options but not sure what to go with for the later future.

Sorry for more question but what is the average cost of a modest drop ? Was not planning on doing it but......

Also can the AWD model be dropped without any problems or issues ?

This is a brand new car so how would it affect warranty ?

F-sport springs_____220 (sewell)
My local shop charged me 180 for the labor involved in swapping the shocks out on my accord. Another shop was chagring me 360 so im guessing 180 is a fair price. I plan on dropping my is250 soon aswell but i think i may just do it my self this time around.

And no if you do F-sport it shouldn't void warranty as long as you install them properly. If whoever does it is not from lexus and does a **** job causing problems directly related to the springs then i think they would have a reason not to warrant the repair but your actual warranty would not be voided so if you have any other unrelated issues they should still honor warranty.

If you drop the AWD depending on how low you are, you are going to feel vibrations at complete stop when in D. Which is typically normal. IMO if you don't want to drop but want to upgrade yours wheels 18's def looks a lot better than 17's without a drop but not sure how 19's would look...
