Changed your thread title to something a little more descriptive than "Please help."

Your 2009 has the older DVD-based (as opposed to HDD-based) navigation right? So it should be the exact same procedure for the nav hack.

hey vboi...

instead of hacking.. have you consider buying adapter for the navigation? this way you can update your navigation disc... I have this on my IS and is very convenience ..Beatsonic is sponsor on this forum and maybe you should PM BS to see if you can get a discount...

Okay, so you do have the DVD-based navigation, in which case you have a few options for tweaking your navigation to unlock the features while in motion:

Navigation Hack DIY Part One - Enable DVD, Phonebook & MP3 Folder While Moving

Navigation Hack DIY Part Two - Destination Entry While Moving Switch

Navigation Hack Alternative - Hybrid Nav DVD

You can also buy plug and play modules from either Prestigious Society or BeatSonic instead of cutting the wires (which voids your nav warranty). You can read a review comparing the two override modules here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...de-review.html. The general consensus is that the Prestigious Society module one is nicer, albeit more expensive.

VaisTech's ML+ iPod integration kit is also supposed to have a navigation override module released soon, but no ETA and you have to buy the $500 ML+ unit itself of course for the module to work.

PS: In the future, please use the forum's search function to find information.

You can update your maps disc even with the nav hack. The hybrid DVD is a little more complicated of course.

VaisTech also had the sl2iC(which is now discontinued, but you can find it elsewhere online) which also had the navi and bluetooth override. they no longer sell it as it wasn't flying off the shelves as the other units were.

I actually had the SL2iC at first but quickly traded it in for an ML+, then the SL2iC was cancelled a month or two later. Dodged a bullet I guess haha. The disappointing sales were not too surprsing given the SL2iC's poor user interface and lack of digital sound processing. I'd guess there are very few units floating around out there so the odds of finding a used unit for sale are probably slim.

With our NVK-03 module, there is no time limit when inputting address. However, you will need to depress the button after you are done inputting the address. Link to item: http://www.beatsonicusa.com/beatsonic-nvk-03.html

Please let me know if you have further questions.

Thanks for sharing the link. Just want to add that with Beat-Sonic, only one switch is needed as the DVD bypass can be engaged indefinitely without affecting any factory controls or systems. Also, the one switch can be changed using the following guides which will yield a clean install without the large switch: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...ml#post6968542
