it's all about the proper wash.
2 bucket method with grit guards.
a couple of high quality wash mitts.
good soap.
drying with a electric leaf blower or blotting a nice big waffle weave towel. both prevent scratches by not dragging dirt/dust across the paint
washing in one directiopn only and not in circles.
a little caution when washing helps save a lot of head ache and elbow grease when you need to polish.

After 3 black cars, I choose to change to white. Thinking its easier to take care of... WRONG!!! white is a target for bird to poop on! they'll miss the black, silver, blue.. but always land on white!
