there are some times when i brake semi-hard at a stop light and when the car comes to a full stop, the RPM's drop up and down and the car feels like its going to stall. it got pretty bad at one point where i had to put the car in neutral and rev the engine a bit to maybe stabilize the car. anyone else have this problem?

Sounds like the 250's Engine Carbon Build up issue from what you've said. There is a huge topic on the boards that you could refer to that would give you some more info. Don't have the link right now but a search should find it for you.

If you didn't say it seem like it was going to stall, I would have asked if it was just down shifting. You can set your small display screen to show your current gear to see if that's the case though

An exact description of the carbon build-up issue. The massive thread on it can be found here:

Basically it's covered by your 6 yr/70k mile powertrain warranty, so unless you're over 70k miles just take it to the dealership to get it fixed. It's an extremely common problem. You'll have to check the thread for what dealers usually expect/require in terms of potentially replicating the issue before OK'ing the fix. I can tell you that if it does happen again, if you can get a video of it as proof.

Same here mine is 07 is250 auto. it happen since 3yrs ago, some time rpm jump up and down then engine stop. i went dealer so many time they can't find the problem. but 2 month ago, i took my car to dealer to do service, the guy told me might be carbon build up issue and they give me decarbon for free (might under powertrain warranty). and last thursday i went back dealer again, the guy said they will rebuild the engine for me. now still waiting my car back.

I got this covered by warranty, they replace the pistons and gasket. They will test for the misfire code.
