Default Need help with Headlight Resto... Really Bad

Need help on my headlights. They are seriously faded bad and I saw someone here that had their headlights restored and he stated that it was going to last him the life of his car. Been trying to look but cant find the thread. Any help would be appreciated. I will post pics later today really looks bad.

mine were faded when i first got my 2007 is250 used. i simply went to walmart and bought the headlight restoration chemical, wiped it on my headlights and then wiped it off. the stuff works wonders. i dont have a specific brand but they all do the same thing (to my knowledge)

how well has this worked in the long run? Do you have to keep re-doing it, or does it still look good from the first time you used it?

thanks!

Compound, polish and wax to seal everything up. Should be good for about a year, provided you use car soap when washing your car (not dish soap). If you have superficial pits from rocks and stones, you could wet sand the headlights, but that's a bit more complicated.

Try the Meguiar's Heavy Duty Headlight Restoration Kit. I used them on my IS300 who had just awfully nasty headlights and it did a pretty great job cleaning them up!

Contact the OP of this thread 6sick6 https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...paint-job.html During the thread he goes through the process of sanding down his headlights then clear coats them with some tinted clear. In your case you would use clear clear coat.

Could you post some pics of how faded your headlights are? I would try the meguiars headlight restore or similar product first. If nothing else works, I would then go the sanding, clear coating route.
