Default is350 tires

I'm in need of new tires and I went to discount tire yesterday and I decided on either the Yokohama yk580 or the continental Extreme Contact DWS. Has anybody had experience with either of these tires and which one should I go with? I live in Atlanta so I drive in rain and sunshine. I have 18'' OEM lexus wheels.

Thanks

I've had great experience with the DWS'. The sidewalls are a little soft, but I can live with that given how smooth and quiet they ride.

Would the sidewalls be much of a concern if using low profile tires? With a "35" there isn't much side wall anyways.

How is the tread life? How many miles have you driven and how much tread is remaining?

yes. soft = soft

there is a world of difference between the stock potenzas and the DWS's. Summer vs. all season...pretty much night and day

its outstanding.

60,000 miles in and still have life left. I would estimate another 10,000 miles

Check out the Continental DW's. No need for an all season tire if you're in rain and sun. A summer tire will be better in wet conditions than an all season.

I'll likely be going with the DW's after my DWS's are gone. The sidewall is a bit soft for my liking, but with the treadlife i'm experiencing with continental, they impressed me enough to give their summer tire a shot.

If you're in Atlanta it makes no sense to get all seasons. They're 2nd or 3rd best in every weather compared to dedicated seasonal tires.

With the weather Atlanta just get good summer performance tires.... if you want to stick with continental that'd be the DW (no S). The Hankook Ventus V12 is also a popular inexpensive tire with good performance for the $.

If you want the absolute best (and will pay for it) then the Michelin Pilot Super Sport is probably the way to go.
