I'm not familiar with your exact application, but sometimes the installer doesn't check carefully, and leaves an old seal, o-ring or gasket up in the recepticle, and installs the new filter and gasket, thus ensuring a leak. A neighbor drove out of a fast lube place and blew his engine. The "Tech" had failed to put any oil in. The shop paid for a new engine, after an attorney insisted.

er... thread is from March 2012, and did you read the manual? Oil capacity is 6.6 US quarts for 250 & 350 RWD with filter change.

6 quarts of 5w-30 oil were put into the car.

I did ask the guy if he wasnt going to grease the oil filter and he said no. That oil change was done at around 6:00 pm eastern time yesterday.

Now this morning i.e.10 minutes ago I discover an oil leak.

What do you guys think is the problem?

Should I watch this leak and see or take it immediately back to the garage?

Thanks in advance for your replies.
I just had the same thing happen. Went to my local Penoil oil change place and my car never leaked a drop. Now I have a puddle under my car. I was going to take it back but at this point I don't want the clowns touching my car.. I am going to just do it myself.

I would do an oil analysis to make sure nothing happened to the bearings. If this was at a shop, document the incident, have it on record, do a BBB complaint etc if it does turn going to court.
