I think I may have a leak from that upper hose that's connected. Can I just take it off and replace with new one without anything spewing out?

Mine isn't as bad. Only on one spot on the hose but i can see white spots spewing on the surround area. Is this or can it become bigger issue? Again, it looks like a leak from that hose. Sorry for noob questions.
