Hello to all the members on this forum. I just got my first lexus which is an 07 Lexus IS250 awd. I have many plans for this car and an HID upgrade is first on the list.
I want to do the Hi and Low beam as well as the fog lights to 8K.My first question is what bulb size I need for the Hi and the low. Many kits I seen online shows one bulb for both hi and low. Also do I only need the bulb or the ballast as well. I know I might need the ballast for the fog lights though. One last question, what is the best bulb to change the daytime running lights to a blue light thats close to 8k. Thanks in advance and Im looking forward to getting involved in the forum

If your car has factory HIDs, then you only need the bulb. Otherwise you will need the ballast and bulb. The fogs will definitely need a ballast. Usually, you would not want HID for your high beams, as these are used generally for short bursts of light (passing, etc...) which is very hard on HID bulbs, and will cause premature failure of the bulb. Additionally, HID bulbs take a couple seconds to get to maximum light output, also not ideal for high beams. There are several threads on here about upgrading the DRL to match HID lights, a quick search might be in order. Good luck, and welcome to CL.

I would just change the HI beam bulbs to a bulb color of your HID. Im not sure exactly what 8000k looks like but you can find tons of these on ebay cheap. just do a search on there
