OEM Battery died cause of Sound system?

Stinger is a battery designed for car audio, as is Kinetik. They are great batteries, capable of cranking the car and running accessories, but have a much higher refresh rate (like a capacitor in the power line), when it comes to rapid and frequent drains. Check with you local car audio shop. They will have them. I have a regular battery in my IS, but have used Kinetiks in some of my other cars in the past, which were geared more for SPL systems. To be honest, the factory alternator and a regular battery meeting the IS's CCA requirement will be enough to run what you have in the trunk, but there is NEVER a problem with having better electrical than you need.

I've gone with gel batteries in the past.. but to me.. fitment is everything. and interstate batteries never fail me in that category!

The stinger ones they speak of are awesome but you can get a optima battery at the local auto parts store for a bit cheaper then a stinger battery and accomplish the same goal.
