New to the club!
Hi all,
The weather is getting hot and I want my car to look hot also. I'm looking into buying some rims either 19's or 20's but having trouble not knowing the right fitment with tires that don't rub on the inner plastic or the fenders. I also plan on getting the BC Coilovers but not sure on which spring rate to get. Then to finish off with a Vertex rep kit. Every Members experience with rims and coilovers is very appreciated...Thanks
If you havn't notice i'm a new member

Welcome to CL, nice to see you asking questions first before you buy thats a very intelligent thing to do, OF COURSE style/taste is subjective so there will be a bunch of different answers... i say go 19" so you can at least go 35series tires rather than the rubberbands of 30series on 20"...
One thing thou EVERYONE HERE will agree on is 'drop first then rims', a dropped car on stockers will ALWAYS look better than a car with rims at stock height. So~ get your suspension first then worry about rims/offsets/tiresizes

i would go 19" on the rims, as for offset it all depends on the look your going for.
BC coilovers very good choice, and for the vertex will give u that simple and clean look.
u might also wanna low the car as ur first mod

That all depends on the ride you want, comfort or sport~ do you drive aggressively all the time or just some of the time? Do you live in a mountain area with alot of twisties or a flat place *city* thats mostly straight roads? Only you can decide this.

"llamaboiz"...I'm looking more towards comfort with a lil sport. I don't really drive aggressively but want something that can handle turns. I live in the city and drive mostly on the freeways. Basicly I want something to handle the bumps and pot holes for later when I get rims.

Don't get the 10k/8k spring rate. Most everyone that does tends to come back saying it's too soft when you drive into a corner more aggressively. If anything, get 12k/8k or 12k/10k; I went with 12k/8k and am happy. Sometimes though I feel that if I had 10k that it might help with rubbing up front on some cornering.

Welcome to CL! I just joined recently as well. SGM ftw. I find myself in a similar boat with respect to the suspension, I'm look for a slight drop (nothing to deep as this will be my daily driver to work) and have considered the f sport springs but it sounds like coils are they way to go. Good luck and make sure you show us what you end up with.
