Is the Sewell website no longer available to those who haven't registered with them prior to their close date? I would love some OEM or replicas at a fair price.
Try mylparts.com a CL sponsor. I have purchased from them recently and it was an OK experience. Best of all when in doubt you can call them and ask for help. We have a 10% discount, just put in CL5 on the promo-coupon slot. This is on top of the low prices they have. Like saving on shipping.
So I recently had a small fender bender cracked my passenger side headlight and scraped up bumper a little. The headlight has to be replaced but I am unsure if I want to do the projector headlights due to the fact that the OEM headlights have the turning feature when you turn your headlights turn too and straighten out after your driving straight. What does everyone think about this?? or is there an option to somehow install the module light part with the newer headlight assembly??? Heres some pics of my situation
After accident Lexi got a boo boo
Put some tape on headlight for temporary use and buffed the bumper a little to clean it up also popped the the dent out.
Well the replacement ballast which was an original Denso one is not kaput. It worked for a while. The bad thing I did was I spliced it. Now it is not working. Not the bulbs, tested it many times.
I finally went to utube and saw a DIY which actually splits the housing so you can actually get into replacing the ballast the right way.
I may have to go down this route.
There goes another set of ballast.
What I should have done when I found water was getting inside the headlamp was to seal it immediately. I waited and lucked out. Moisture severely corroded the ballast.
One thing that is stumping me is how do you pull the main connector? Just unhook and pull away? Thanks for any advise.
Will somebody tell me how to yank out the headlight from the main connector? I really need to work on the headlamp away from the car.
How do you actually snap free the main connector? I was stumped the last time and really need to get this out of the way so I can replace the ballast, one more time!
Thank you!
This is what has me stumped!!!!
How do you actually get this connector unplugged?
I need to open up the assembly and replace the ballast the right way.
How much brighter is the output than the regular non-led HID headlights? Idk if people are buying this only for pure looks or to upgrade their lighting as well
Sorry to hijack the thread, but I was wondering for this swap, do I need all the computers,HID, Ballast, and the headlight assembly or just the housing? I have a lexus IS250 2009 with HID and Adaptive headlights. I am thinking I should be good with just the housing. Any thoughts?
