my mom's Honda Pilot is faster (at least felt that way) than my 250. but on the other hand, with a quarter tank of gas gone, my IS250 would've net me 100 miles by now, but instead, the 350's trip meter only showing 70 miles. that's the trade off i'm gonna have to live with.

Gas mileage is not that big of a difference. My guess is that your enjoying that extra power and using that extra gas.

Yeah, same driving style you'll get 10% worse mileage in a 350, but have 50% more hp available.

It's when you're digging deeply into the extra hp that mileage takes a hit.

exactly lol. also i think the LED DRL is more suitable for European cars. looks out of place on JDM cars, kind of like an aftermarket add on.

When you first get the car, you probably dig into the pedal more than you think. When I first got my new '09 IS350 I went WOT probably 2-3 times per 50 miles and overall averaged around 16-18 MPG.

3 years later, I've realized that the IS350's power is vastly superfluous and I apply a light pedal (maybe 1/8 throttle) pretty much at all times. I average around 21-22 MPG (50% city/50% highway) now.

You just received your IS350 somewhat recently after being in an IS250 for so long. I doubt you've been "babying" the car at 1/8 throttle all the time. If that's indeed the case, the low gas mileage you've been wondering about in another thread is probably justified.
