O yea I totally agree with you then
I had DDM tuning bulbs... What a load of crap compared to the output of Phillips 85122+ or osram CBI's.
The 85122+ are less expensive then the CBI's and if you're ok with the 4300k look I say totally go for those cause of the price
If you like 5000k but want the same great output of the phillips 85122+ then go CBI's. It just takes about 20-25 hours before they turn 5000k
If you decide to go CBI's, PM me. I have a hook up over on the hid planet forums.
Sorry for derailing your thread a little.

I have morimoto 5000k and they're decent. I want oem but the only thing holding me back was the bulb temp. I may hit you up on that soon!

wow, that great, do you have to cut the back of the housing to feed the bulbs? would you share some photo of the back of the lights?

Another great retrofit! Well done! You should change out those amber turn signal bulbs for the chrome bulbs. Well that's just what I'd do. Again, amazing work! I used your bracket system on the 06-10 headlights, I may have to hit you up for this if I pull the trigger! Haha

sounds good, I took detailed pics so you know just where to cut and what parts to get.

You can also try Philips Ultinon bulbs. They are available in both 5000K and 6000K.

Again awesome work B!
This just makes me yearn to get mine back from LightModz.
Had I known you were THIS good I woulda had you done my retrofit only cause you were local.

Damn... that is looking good. Kudos for doing the retro-fit.

I'm too chicken to do this myself. Looks like a lot of work went into it.

I was thinking about it but I actually like the contrast the amber bulbs gives.

You do have to cut the back of the housing, I used a 2 1/2 hole saw. I'll post some pictures when I get home as Photobucket is blocked at my job.

I've showed you some of the retrofits I've done so you should have not doubted me.

Anyone have ideas on what to use after I cut a hole in the back of the headlight to feed the bulb?
I was thinking of a rubber plug used to fill up a bathtub with. But not sure how to seal that properly.

Just like my last retrofit I have not pluged it up with anything and I have not had any issues with condensation. The key to this is to make sure you seal the lence correctly. You will also notice that I covered the holes where the factory ballast would mount as I'm running Nissan ballast on my car.
