2009 tails on a 2007 is250 please Help!
Ok guys here is the deal, my friends car (09 is250) got totaled so we are swaping the tails, question is will it be a straight swap or will i need any extra parts?, I heard about a harness , would i find the harness on his car and be able to use it on mine or do i have to buy a new one?. is it prety straight forward? , any input would be appreciated since we are doing this early in the morning tomorrow. I looked on the threads but did not found an straighht answer to that. thanks.

yes you will need the 09 harness. youll have to look at your friends car and see if you can get them off. I bought mine as a kit and it came with all that. When you install the tails on your car you will need to bend a couple small tabs around the frame in order to fit the tails in correctly

I just took the whole thing out, tails and harnes and did the same with his .All we had to do was disconnect the harness from the white plug and not from the tails . on the 07, inner trunk lid... where the lamp sits into the trunk...
you will have to bend the metal inside to make room because the 09+ is slightly bigger.
bring a heat gun if you got it... but make sure you know how to use it!
yes, make sure you get bulb socket and harness.
