The specs is listed on the Lexus.com and Lexus.ca site. You could also go to the dealership and grab a brochure too which would tell you.

I am always wondering what is the difference between F Sport upgraded "springs", "shocks" and "sway bars" vs. the F Sport Accessory "Springs", "shocks" and "sway bars"??

As I have a F Sport package and having driven a loaner non-F Sport, I can definitely tell the difference in handling especially cornering. F Sport package has much less body roll, more balanced, feel smoother on acceleration, and steering wheel feels much more responsive than Non-F Sport. However, there is no difference in power which is expected since there is no upgrade on engine part.

Now, what are the improvement in HANDLING from upgrading F Sport stock package to F Sport accessory??? I always wonder this because i'm considering this upgrade! Is this worth the money?

I really find Lexus "F Sport" naming way too confusing to people. At least they should named "F Sport stage 1", "F Sport stage 2" or "F***king Ultimate Sport" (ISF haha).

The F-Sport does not have sway bars.

As for the F-Sport factory spring and shock, it's just a sport version. It's a minimal upgrade, that gives it a bit of a sporty feel. Now if you want more aggressive and sport like, then that's where you get the F-Sport Accessory.

This video will help clear things up.

@Sango that is very helpful video. However, i think it is still kind of general.

Could you or anybody else can elaborate more on the DIFFERENCE between F Sport package and F Sport accessory in term of "spring, shocks, sway bars". I'm looking more of a technical perspectives such as the manufacturer of those parts, the stiffness % improvement, physical dimension and specifications, etc.
To complicate the matter even further, what about F Sport accessory vs. ISF?? Again, looking for more of technical perspective.

If you look at the link above, it does give you some technical differences in stiffness and stuff for the shock/spring and sway bar improvement from stock to F-Sport. For comparison to ISF, they don't have one directly.

There are probably members which more of the technical expertise to fill in what you're looking for.

I'd say BBK and exhausts.

But why the badging? it's nicer without it.

They are very different

The big one is the sport package (which is the suspension the F-sport package is recycling) uses linear shocks (much superior IMHO).... which means the shocks are perfectly matched to them.
The drop is 0.4 inches front, 0.0 rear.

The F-sport accessory springs are progressive however, which makes them less predictable when pushed and means it's impossible to correctly match shocks to the spring rate, since the rate is variable. This is why some folks report a floating or bouncy experience with the F-sport springs over certain types of road. This does drop the car a bit more though (1 inch and 0.8 inches I think)

The F-sport accessory sways are significantly larger/stiffer than the stock ones.

Where it gets weird is the old sport package used the same sways as the non-sport models, so the F-sport sways were a significant upgrade.

Lexus.com suggests that's still the case for US models with the F-sport package. But I think Jeff Lange mentioned, consistent with what Sango says, that Canadian F-sport package cars get upgraded sway bars- dunno the specs on em.

Typo there, I think, should say linear springs. I definitely prefer linear to progressive as well though.

We all know how accurate Lexus.com is.

The catalogs for Canada and US both say this:

06-08: All used the same sway bars, with or without sport package.
09-10: Sport and X-Package cars get different sway bars (quite noticeable visually, especially if you look at the rear sway bar, it uses entirely different brackets than the non-sport cars, which on 09+ have the integral brackets, the sport suspension kept using the older-style brackets). Both sport and non-sport package sways are different than the 06-08 in various ways, but I do not have spring rates for them.
11-12: Sport (Canada 6MT Only Package) and F-Sport (Canada & USA) continue to get the same front sway bars as 09-10 Sport and X-Package cars, while the rears are different than both.

2011-12 Sport and F-Sport packages also received the updated rear suspension geometry upgrades that the IS-F got, which also included a revised knuckle. The springs and shocks are also new part numbers, which are close/the same as the old Sport suspension, but without actual damping / spring rate numbers, it's hard to know if they are exactly the same or not. Possibly not.

Sway Bar / Bushing Part Numbers (RWD Only):

06-08 Front:
48811-53040 - Sway Bar
48815-30571 - Bushings

06-08 Rear:
48812-53030 - Sway Bar
48818-30210 - Bushings

09-12 Front:
48811-53080 - Sway Bar (Non-Sport Suspension)
48811-30661 - Sway Bar (X-Package, Sport, F-Sport with Sport Suspension)
48815-30571 - Bushings (Same for all models, indicating the diameters are the same)

09-10 Rear:
48805-53010 - Sway Bar (Non-Sport Suspension, Integral Brackets & Bushings)
48812-53070 - Sway Bar (X-Package, Sport, F-Sport (Canada-only) with Sport Suspension)
48818-30180 - Bushings (X-Package, Sport, F-Sport (Canada-only) with Sport Suspension)

11-12 Rear:
48805-53010 - Sway Bar (Non-Sport Suspension, Integral Brackets & Bushings; Same as 09-10)
48812-53030 - Sway Bar (Sport (Canada-only), F-Sport with Sport Suspension; Same as 06-08)
48818-30210 - Bushings (Sport (Canada-only), F-Sport with Sport Suspension; Same as 06-08)

Jeff,

48812-53030 - Sway Bar (Sport (Canada-only), F-Sport with Sport Suspension)
48818-30210 - Bushings (Sport (Canada-only), F-Sport with Sport Suspension)

They both show up in Sewell catalog for the US cars. Not sure if they actually used them but it shows that they are used in the 06-08 US cars of the X50. I guess the US car for 11+ omits this.

I think you missed this post from Kurtz!

Yeah if you look at my list, it is the same part on the 06-08 (US and Canada), 11-12 F-Sport (US and Canada), and 11-12 Sport (Canada 6MT only), but it is still different than the 11-12 non-sport bar now.

As for the seats, as far as I can tell, they are not ventilated, even in Canada.

Why not just get an "fsport equipped" badge?

The F-Sport equipped badge not that great. I went after Sewell's F-Sport one which looks better.

So based on this... the 11-12 F-sport cars get the same sway bar that all 06-08 cars, sport or otherwise, did... it's the non-sport models that have a different one for 11-12?

That seems...kinda weird...

Really wish we knew the actual size/stiffness differences between all the parts, if any...

And yeah, I meant linear springs, not shocks, sorry for the typo.

So, I'm assuming buying after market OEM parts from Sewell and adding them to a stock IS350 would cost more than if you had just bought the original package? However, there are other factors that come into play such as a USED Stock IS350 + after market OEM F-Sport accessories. I have no money for a newly built F-Sport. IS350 :P

Also, do you need Lexus to install them in order for them to under warranty or insured or whatever? o.o"
