Aluminum doesn't rust, it just oxidizes.. post up some pictures of exactly what you're talking about. To clean up your lips, you can lightly wetsand with 3000 grit followed by some wax/polish.

i wasn't aware that aluminum doesn't rust. i stand corrected.

sorry for the phone quality this is all the passenger side rear the driver side rear is looking sexy still but just a bit like the right side

Looks like surface rust from the stainless steel lip. Did it get scraped a little? Get some metal polish. Buff it out and use sealant like Klasse Sealant Glaze. http://www.autogeek.net/klashiggloss.html Goodluck.

The lips are stainless steel rings and it looks like a mounting issue or your scraping inside fender?
