On Wednesday the 2nd, I was driving home from work, I was about two intersections away from my house. I was sitting at a red light behind another truck and while I was waiting I hear this loud tire screeching so I turn to check my mirrors and BOOM! A Drunk Driver with a 94 ford explorer hit the rear end of my car. Funny thing was guy tried to run away and both are cars were in no shape to drive. So I came to my senses and I called 911 cops, ambulance etc. got there in 5min. Turns out Driver was intoxicated with open bottles in his SUV, no safety/ reg./ insurance. Good Thing I only waled away with minor injuries. Still super bummed about my car...... Here are the pics.

I'm glad you're ok. Since the guy tried to run it's probably an automatic felony which will keep him off the streets for a few years. Get a lawyer and run a civil suit against him for damages, personal injury, etc. You can probably get $50,000-70,000 in payments over the long run.

Wow, glad you're alright. If insurance doesn't total it, make sure you make a claim for diminished value, which compensates you for the loss in value of your car from having an accident on the record (vs. what your car would have been worth with a clean history).

What a disaster! So sorry to hear of your bad timing. Could have been worse I guess. The human body is most important here.
I'm guessing if the drunk was driving a 1994 Explorer without license and insurance, he's probably not going to have much as far as you suing. But I still would to make his life as miserable as possible.
And look on the bright side, at least you now have easier access to cleaning the tailpipes.

I bet you are in a lot of pain since you saw the car coming for you and you most likely locked yourself up. Thats pretty scary to see a car coming for you. Hope you get yourself in another car soon.
