Planning to sell my is300 to buy is350, few questions
Hi.
Im the original owner of a 2002 is300 with a manual. MY current car is loaded, everything but factory nav. A few years back i put in a nav system and DVD. it has 102k miles if anyone is interested iin buying that one.
So my main questions are these. Im planning to buy a used is350. i dont really see a reason to buy a new one. I love how mine has been to own and how well it has held up and held value.
I have a set of 16" lexus wheels for my is300 i use for snow, id like to keep them for the is350 if they will fit. Does anyone know if they fit?
Im looking for a fully loaded 350. does anyone have any opinion on what to buy? 08, 09,10? i dont think it matters much. I plan to buy one in warranty, and plan to have it certified (i see carson toyota will sell the cpo warranty).
anything else i should be aware of, or consider?
Thanks in advance!

It'll tell you the common issues to watch out for as you search.
The second post of the above thread outlines the differences between the model years.

I had an is 300 for 3 years before my 350 and miss it every day. That car was amazing to me and had 154k when I sold it and I believe it is still running today. I should have kept the 300 and also bought the 350 when I look back. Since then I have also sold my 350, it was a phenomenal car but for the price there were so many other cars out there.

My only other concern is I love driving a manual. I know the is350 is fast but auto only is a drag. I considered a BMW/Audi for this reason, but I think I get more bang for my $ in Lexus and I also think the quality is better.
Any thoughts on this? Just hope I don't get bored driving an auto

if anyone wants to see my is300 have a look here:
photo gallery
*sorry no ebay links*
I added some videos to the gallery if anyone wants to check them out.
Also. i bought an is350. whats up with the insurance on them? its almost 3 times what my is300 costs. is this normal? like $230/mo is the cheapest i can find. i have no tickets no accidents in 7+ years and im not really young anymore. it is my only car and i am single but that seems very high
