yeah that joystick on the GS-X50 at the car show this year made me feel like I was playing a video game and it was such a b*tch to actually land on what you wanted to go to..

Totally agree! I think it'll be nice at first, but looks like there could be a lot of downfalls. Imagine if a fuse went out and you won't be able to see your speedometer. Still an interesting idea however.

I can just see problems with the 1st gen of this Caddy. When that screen goes out, can you get a ticket for speeding and tell the cop that you really don't know how fast you were going since your screen burned out?
Looks like an iPad integrated in a car....but it looks nice.

LS600h already has this technology. It came out on the 2010 LS-H. It uses a TFT meter panel in place of the 08-09 gauge panel. The LS460 still has the same panel as the previous years. No upgrade to TFT panel is scheduled for it either.

I drove a 2012 RX350 for a few days, and it has the joystick thing. I think it works pretty good. At first I thought it works like a game joystick (which I really won't like), but it latches to different positions so it was fairly easy to use. I like the placement of the screen very high too so I don't have to stare down.

lol, I think it's a bit too complicated, too.
