Default Terrible painting blunder for is-f style grill

I had a terrible blunder yesterday. I finished painting my new grill then hit the road while it dried outside. Sudden downpour and bad painting choices!

This is the result. Does anyone know where I can just the emblem holder part. The grill still looks great. Am I forced to get a new one?

This thread is useless without pics! J/K

Can't really tell how bad the damage is from your description. Pics would help a lot. Is the part that holds the "L" emblem in place damaged?

FAIL.

More for not posting pics than for the paint not drying and running in some fashion. lol

You can probably just repaint but add a clearcoat/sealant layer on top. It'll take some sanding or paint-thinner to get rid of the mess you have now though.

You can get some paint thinner and remove it with some sanding too.

And this time give it a good 24 hours before you put it back on and drive

Thanks the help. I tried the paint thinner but it damaged the plastic that it was made from.

Should I just toss it and go for the debadged look or waste another 80 f

Lol looks like chocolate melting.

Like what others have said. Apply paint stripper.. sand it down... paint... clear coat... let it dry for 24 hours in your garage.
