8000k Bulbs - Headlight Malfunction?
Hey guys.
I recently claimed 2 headlights under warranty (that barely was approved).
I'm more than sure the problem was in result of a wet ballast, but I suspected that the 8000k bulbs could have led to the problem (low beam not working).
Has anyone expereinced or is there a history of 8000k bulbs malfunctioning headlights in the 2IS generation? I have an 08 ISF.
Thanks

nope.. i have been running Garax 8k since 2006. Than in 2010 i traded in the 06 for the ISC and swapped the original garax over to the new car and since then only 1 bulb needed to get replaced.

The temp really has nothing to do with how long they last - so 3000k, 6000k, 8000k, etc those numbers don't matter for reliability. It's who made the bulbs that will determine the quality. Lower end bulbs usually have a higher failure rate, higher end bulbs have lower failure rates.

just to note**
The bulbs did not fail. The headlight assembly did.
I concluded that the ballast blew out, dealer played dumb as usual.
I'm asking if the 8000k garax bulb blew out the headlight
