I need help deciding whether to go ahead with this private sale. The car has 40,000 miles and has few scratches and dents on the body. Looks to be in a decent condition. However, it has a history of multiple owners. Will this affect the resale value? If so, how much? Owner asking for 18K. Is that Reasonable?

 

I know my old 2008 is250 is. Aloud at 19k private dealer so I think the 06 is a bit high. With 40k have you check carfax to see any accident history? I'll offer 16k and go from there. However, keep in mind you can get an is350 2006 for 19k if that even in your mind

Carfax, Autocheck, dealer pre-purchase inspection, Lexus dealer service history, check it for all the common issues above. Don't buy without doing each of the above.
