Default Rear Turn Signal LED Fix Decoder

I have been wanting to change my rear turn signals to LEDs for months now and didn't want to (cut/tap) the factory wiring harness. I was searching eBay and finally found a plug and play solution.

Here is a link to the decoder: http://www.ebay.com/itm/7440-992-T20...#ht_3169wt_960

Has anyone used these before?

I am very excited for them to arrive later this week and will post results after the install.

I've seen them before but was not too keen on getting those, trying to figure out where to hide them and mount them.

I just got a LED turn singal relay and fire it up.

I figured I'd just double side tape them to a piece of metal behind the trunk liner....shouldn't be too hard.

Would there be a possible problem if you also do front LED? As in you need 4 or just the two would be able to do it?

If you already have resistors in the rear....just two for the front should do it. Willing to be the first to try the front turn signals?

I'm going to have front LED turn CREE's in mine soon. I already have them in the rear. They are super bright!!

I think people keep their distance, because it's white and bright? ha ha!

What kind of CREE bulbs? Mind sharing a pic or link to the ones you have?

Here you go. I have JLC's cree. The video clip I have is taken during the day to give an idea how well they do against the sun light to show their true potential. No dark video since that isn't accurate but in the dark, it is very bright!

Isn't a relay enough?

Thank you...those look awesome. I just looked on v-leds.com since they are having a 15% off Memorial Day sale until the 31st and found these in red: http://www.v-leds.com/RED-7440-11W-H...95540-1-2.html

Looks like a similar kind of concept....might try these.

A relay is probably enough, but this is for those that either want a plug and play solution or do not want to tap or cut any of the factory harnesses.

You can get the ones from JLC. They also have 12 of the 5050 SMDs going all around to fill the housing. The VLED ones don't look like they surround the housing so it's mainly going to give a projection look without filling in the housing.

The LEDs are from Japan. I got mine from a CL vendor for discount.
