A pop usually happens when theres un burnt fuel, it poorly ignites causing it to back fire. I would replace them, clean the throttle body, and air filter.
It's normal. I get about 100+ backfires just driving to and from school everyday lol. Especially if you delete the resonators and secondary cats, the backfires get really loud. One time, I downshifted under a tunnel and it backfired so loud, everyone's third brake lights came on lol.
Not sure I'd count it as normal if you have to remove half the exhaust to make it happen
4.5+ years of ownership and 0 backfires... but I also don't romp on it when the engine is cold.
My car only backfires when it's at operating temperature. Never can I get it to backfire when it's cold.
mine never got backfires when it in the cold, but it happen when I press hard or floor and then stop at the redlight and then got POP backfires, but it sound like I have a race car.
