Default Zenclosure Subwoofer Box and JL 10W6V2

Can anybody chime in on the quality of this box with this subwoofer? Reason I ask is because I am not sure if this is a ported or sealed box. Also I am not sure which is particularly better for the sound quality of this subwoofer.

I have it with my 12" kicker L7 and it sounds great, need to turn my amp down, too much bass!! It's not porter and I'm no audio guru so I don't know which type is preferred for audiophile people...

PS ignore the wood floor... Haha

Website states the box is sealed. Sealed box is better in a small space and the bass is tight and clean. If you want your bass heard from a couple of blocks away then you will need a ported box.

A ported box will give you a louder bass... While the sealed one will give you a deeper bass.. I had zenclosures on my 350z before and it was pretty good... oh and that box is sealed

if your gain is down and its too much bass, then i hope you never have to sit in my ride! 142.00db with two 10" ssa xcons and a 3000.5 mmats at half ohm. check out this link and see. imo i think kicker is junk and jl is overpriced pos. there is soo much out there that people just dont know of. but to each his own.

I ordered one of these for my alpine type R 12. Waited for a4080 box but they never return emails or calls. I had a. Zen box in my 350/370z and they worked as good as any other box I've had. I should have it Tuesday

I realize Kicker isnt the best for quality bass. I'm also not trying to destroy my hearing with the loudest bass in the world. Got it for a deal a long time ago and it still hits and adds to the factory system nicely.

it’s not the actual gas cap, it’s the plastic line that connect your cap to the car. once your fuel door is close, that line sit against the body and once the bass hit it bounces around. I’m going to try to fix that issue by adding some foam tape on the wall it sit on.

I see you did the fly audio mod from the original nav unit... Why the change?

I added 2 strips of a tire gel applicator sponge. They cost like 3 bucks for a pack of 6 ... They are yellow and black. They work like a charm to stop the gas lid rattle and I glued one to the rear license plate to stop the rattle also,

i wanted dvd up front where i could reach it. and did not want to buy the navtool piece or install a dvd player in the gloveboix. fly audio was more money , i am happy with it, although if i paid anywhere near what others have then i would be pissed off, quality isnt as good but it serves its purpose.
