Sunroof turbulence (booming) issues, need quick help...
A few months ago, I took my car in to the dealer to have a rattling sunroof fixed. After a week, the dealer ended up replacing the entire sunroof housing. This fixed the rattle, but caused a new problem. When first opening the roof, it would drop down too fast and make a bang. Rather than taking it back to the same dealer, I tried another who was more willing to accommodate me with a loaner. This second dealer got rid of the bang, but now when the roof is fully retracted and my side windows are UP, I get that nasty booming/turbulence sound around 40 mph. I've never had this booming before, but he's claiming it's normal operation. I think they are out of ideas and just want to return the car back to me. I'd like to help them out if possible, so I am asking the group if anyone knows what pieces or adjustments may have caused the booming to happen?
The only guess I have is the glass is not sliding in it's track at the right height, which is disturbing the flow of air inside the cabin? Or possibly the shade that slides back could be out of line, causing the same thing?
I should also mention, in one of my earlier visists, the wind deflector spring broke and stopped popping up. They got that fixed, but maybe it doesn't pop up high enough like the old one did? I don't know, but the wind deflector could be related.
Other than those two things, what could cause the ear-popping booming when it has never happened before?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. They have it until Thursday to get it right.
TIA

Could be. I'll mention it to them. It's just annoying there was no booming up until the last visit.
