Default new wheels. vibration :(

Hey guys, I just installed my lc818 (225/35/19 front and 265/30/19 rear) and I'm getting vibrations from 40mph only when I let off the gas. When I'm on the accelerator, it doesn't vibrate.

I went and had my wheels rebalanced today and they used road force and said they're perfect.

FYI:

My cars on bc racing coilovers and I didn't have this vibration before. I did, however, raise my car slightly to put the wheels are so could an alignment cause this?

The tires are Conti DW tires.

So I went and swapped my stock wheels back on. vibration is gone.

and when i ordered them from wheeldude, he sent me the rings. I believe they're 73.1 to 60.1. granted they are plastic rings...would I be better off looking for new rings?

did you experience the vibration with the LC818's and with the supplied hubcentric rings? that much wasn't clear in your posts.

Yes I put the supplied rings from wheeldude on the LC818's and experienced the vibration.

I'm leaning to think it's either A) the rings are bad or B) the road force machine is defective.

Plastic Hubcentric rings? I would bet your getting flex and compression out of them. Find metal rings!

60.1 mm., it is.

Personally, I don't think the ring can go bad. It is just a simple pice of ring that it is very hard for anything to go wrong with it. But at around10 bucks a set, It doesn't hurt to try a new set just to rule out the possibility of the root cause.

granted this may be given, but clean off the hubs(take your time) and make sure you are getting a nice flat surface to mount the wheels onto the car.

I would say rings. I am also in bc coils with LC 818. And I don't experience any vibration.

Use a wire brush on a drill to remove all of the rust...and there will be some. Clean the rotor around the lugs and clean the wheel hub as well

the hub rings don't bare weight so the choice is irrelevant. If you choose metal rings avoid steel because they might fuse to the hub and it's going to be a pita to take it off..
