2010 IS250 Incoming Phone call
Hello all,
I got a certified pre-own IS250 (no-nav) about a year ago and had some questions, maybe this great community would be able to answer them for me.
1) Is there any way to transfer my entire phone book from my iphone to the radio?
2) Is there a way to enter a name on the radio, so when I dail out or have an incoming call, it will display the name? I've been trying to do this since I got the car, and read the manual and played with the setting...but have not been able to figure it out.
Thanks,

I don't think it is available for the non-nav....
When I programmed my phone to the car's audio it asked me to record a name for 1 - 10. I can dial by voice or the number buttons.
There isn't a way to program the radio to display the text of names or sync the entire phone book to car stereo.
Perhaps, some expert can chime in...

On my 2012 non-nav (not sure how it will differ from 2010), you can transfer contacts 1 by 1 from your phone. There is no way to do your entire phone book at once, and because it takes a while, I only entered in my top ~15 contacts. This will also automatically fulfill your second request to have the name show up.
Basically, when I did it, I paired my phone's bluetooth and then did the "send contact by bluetooth" option found in my phone (I did this with an Android phone, I assume it's similar for iPhone). After sending it over, the system asked me to say the contact's name for the "dial by name" option. I was then also able to assign specific contacts to each radio preset 1-6 for quick dialing.
It was somewhere in the manual. I'm not sure exactly, I just spent some time looking it through.
Edit: As an FYI, when I call someone who is in stored in my car's memory, the name always shows up. But when they're calling me, it doesn't always show up. I still haven't figured that out.
