LIES!!!... Lexus uses some BS eco-mentalist paint thing to make it somehow better for the environment. It chips so easily vs other cars I've owned including Nissan/Infinitis (including a G35 ).
I agree with everything but the paint comment - the paint on my Infiniti chipped very easily - it was almost ridiculous. Honestly, I'd rate the paint quality about the same.
I'd thought all car makers paint sucks in recent years due to changes in paint the EPA mandated?
That's what I thought too, but even though people say the IS paint is thin (and it is, iMO) it holds up pretty well. I had an accident last year where I bumped into another car, and the paint held up perfectly (even though it was very low speed) No cracks, chips, nothing!
The Infiniti is a WAAAYYYY sportier, more luxurious car than the IS. Do yourself a favor, go test drive a fully loaded G37S. I promise you wont be disappointed. The IS is a nice car, but no competitor to the Infiniti G.
You are right... the IS isn't a competitor.... it's better. End of subject.
It all comes down as to which car you prefer. ISX50 for luxury and features + nicer interior material and design. G37S MT or 350z if you want to go with the pure sports for handling looks or if you plan to bring the car to track. It's better that you know which car is more fit for your needs.
Also, the new designed G engine will be DI engine as well so you may want to wait for it.
