I feel so....
....old when I drive down the street and see someone that is noticeably older than me in the same car. I drive an IS250 and I pull up to stop lights and see another IS and immediately are trying to guess in my mind how old the person is. Maybe I just live in the wrong side of the country (Utah/Idaho) but I rarely see a younger-ish person driving a car like mine. Not to offend any one who is older than me but I feel like I blend in. I'm trying to personalize (mod) my car so people when they see me know it's a kid which i always wanna be (I'm 27 btw). I guess sometimes I just wish it was like the Honda/Acura world where you see a slammed civic and immediately assume its a highschool/college student. But there are those days where I'm glad I'm not driving a little rice burner. And I have the nice luxury car. I love my IS. Best purchase I have made. Does anyone else feel this same way??

Yeah I feel like it sometimes too. Always seems to be older people, especially women, driving an IS around SoCal....but it doesn't matter to me. It's a nice car - it looks sexy and i enjoy the luxury.
Coming from the Honda/Acura world, I don't think i'll ever go back. I love my IS too!
Like you said, just do some modding and you won't look like every other "older person" driven IS out there

yes i've noticed this too. I usually try to give the smile to people in other IS's and they usually look at me like umm why is he smiling at me... haha... not to mention I do a complete overtake on any IS I pass, which also probably is quite strange to see someone literally scanning your entire car... oops..
Most of the IS's though naturally are stock and are older people, and many women. I think it was USNews (don't quote me on that source) who said that the IS was in the top ten female-owned cars in the country at one point.

The IS is Lexus's entry level sedan, same with BMW 3 series and Mercedes Benz C class. They are a dime a dozen on the road. more predominantly in bigger cities and metropolis.
Who cares what other people drive. You made your choice because it satisfies yourself to be driving one. If you want your car to stand out from the general public, do what most of us do, modify it!

I wouldn't worry so much what others think. You have to be the one happy with what you are sitting on... not what someone else believes. That can be said for a lot of things throughout life.
If it still bothers you, you have to mod further. Just don't go too crazy because if it becomes a non-practicle ride, you will regret having gone through this whole thing (just to please others).
