Question 2011 Lexus IS250 Rev Limit ?

Hey guys , so today I raced my IS250 , and wanted to fully redline it but it wouldnt let me pass 7 1/2 .
Is that the limit ?

I cant say for sure, but if the car wouldnt let you pass 7500 RPM, I would assume that is the rev limit

are you driving an AT or MT? redline on my MT is 7.5 i wouldnt go pass 7.5....

I would love to see a pic of your 7500rpm redline. Or are you talking about the rev limit? Either way, I don't think the engine produces any more power past 6500.

I think the car redlines at 7500R RPM but limits you earlier in the RPM range

The redline is the red line you see on the tachometer. On AT IS250 its 6400~6500 rpm. The Rev limiter, is the actual rpm that the ECU will cut fuel, ignition.

I could have sworn it was closer to 7000 RPM ^ I need to look at the tach more often lol

From what I can recall, and I think I've only ever done it once, the rev limit is around 6800rpm. Redline is placed at 6600rpm.
