Default Any alternatives to HID?

Hey guys,

So i had installed an Aftermarket HID kit to my halogens and its probably responsible for burning out a circuit in my car (according to my electrician) leaving my passenger light off. Well........$275 later i am back to having two fully functional headlights but i dont want to put HID's on this car again and risk burning the circuit again (eventhough i have a 6 month gaurantee). Are there any lower wattage alternatives that are safer? Im not too familiar with LED bulbs or those ultra white Sylvania bulbs any one can recomend a good bright light? Doesnt have to be blue i actually prefer a color closer to OEM white 4300K - 5000k.

Yup you def got a really low quality kit or your installer was not too bright. Make sure you get a quality 5K HID kit (since you want a pure white color)

I installed them my self. My driver side light was fine in addition to both fog lights which i still have a kit on. I actually installed them on my previous car, my brothers car, my sisters car, my friends car and never had any issues. Instalation is pretty straight foraward with a plug and play set unless you need to harness so im guessing it was the kit since i did replace that balast after the first one got water in it.. What kit would you guys recomend?

This is why you should run a relay kit with the battery powering your aftermarket HID's.

Personally I would recommend buying from Xenondepot, they have great quality kits

What kind of kit did you have originally?

Yep, for each HID kit I've ever installed I've always used a wiring harness with relay and in-line fuse. NEVER have had a problem. Mixing and matching ballasts with different kits never helps either.
