One time when I parked up close at the gym some d bag came in parking all crooked in front of me and kissed my bumper putting a chip the size of a dime in it. I was done with my work out and I had to be at work. Other wise I would have sat there and waited to see who would show up.
I don't really think there is such a thing as an entry level Lexus. I think the IS series is a line designed to be more for those who want a sporty sedan instead of a family sedan like the ES. Actually the ES doesn't appeal to me at all. I believe the folks at Lexus knew there was a younger crowd that wanted a sport sedan...a la IS. So...not entry...just sporty.

I know how you feel, I hate it when I park far away and then someone comes along and parks right next to me. And when I say park far away, I mean there are no cars within 10-15 parking spots of my car. But someone will always park close by it seems, especially at Walmart. Even if there was another CL member, I would park at least a few spots down and would never touch their car. Looking at it is fine, but there is absolutely no need to touch another person's car when checking it out.

Default Permanent Ding!

Here is why I don't park next to anyone. I discovered this after being in the local store parking lot for less than 5 min. After this I will never park between 2 other cars. This is a ding that I have been told will not come out because of the location right on the crease. Out of anyplace to get a ding...really?

don't get me wrong when I say entry level I don't mean its the lowest car in the Lexus line just the most affordable. Plus another reason why I say thay is bc I didn't wanna come off in my post sounding like I think I'm better than others bc i do drive a Lexus. I know some ppl do think that way.

yep definitely why I hate ppl parking by me. To others it may be just a car but its still my car I still pay for it I still love it, take care of it and wanna keep it in the best condition possible. Just bc someone doesn't give a crappy about theirs don't mean they should park next to me and fling their doors open and hit mine

You know what PISSES ME OFF? WHEN PEOPLE DO THIS

I do the same thing when I park at work, and I try to keep my distance I work in the hospital and we are crawling with old people. And old people dont give a snot about anyone else's car. And on top of that they drive those ginourmous cars.

double on the old people dgaf about other people's car. i remember sitting in a car waiting for my friends to come back from the grocery store and some old donkey came and dinged the side. i got out and said you hit the car and he kept denying it. you can obviously see a scratch and his paint on it. the car even shook. he made a big scene and my friends were too lazy to deal with it. pissed me off.

You have no idea how much I hate older drivers. Some old lady cut me off yesterday so I sped up and flicked her off and she looked terrified. Serves her right lol

I usually don't think about how I should park my car until one day I was visiting someone and parked my car on the empty parking lot. Came out 30 minutes later and saw this...

I got a little mark on the my door handle from that car... Not too noticeble though...

Is this the front or rear? If it is the front find a good dent-less repair shop and they can make it better at the least.

I know how you feel. I have had 2 removed myself.

It's the rear driver's side...so EVERY time I walk up to my ride....that's what the eff I see. I had the dealer assess it and they said it's pretty much not coming out. I know it's only one small ding but it really took a lot of the allure out of my ride. As clean as it can get...won't matter when I look at that stupid ding. I know it's only a material item but damn...how hard do you have to open your door into my ride to make this happen. I'm assuming it was a kid since it would have been someone getting out of their back seat.

Also, if I replace the panel then from everything I've read on here the color is going to be off because it's SFP.

I would still take it to a specialist. It does look like it may be creased a bit. The dent-less guy will not be able to access it from behind on the rear panel because there are multiple layers of sheet metal. There is another method that they used on my car. They use a glue to attach a plastic pull tab. Then they have a handle that attaches to the tab and they pull on the dent. They may be able to smooth it some and reduce how noticeable it is.
