Default Front tire rub

I'm currently running 235-35-20 up front but rubbing a bit so I'm changing tires what do recommend I'm looking at going down a size 225-35-20 should that be sufficient

30 series is better than 35, i have 245-30-20 it rub a little on the wheel liner, it easy fix, just heat gun a push it back where it rub

245/30/20 will still hit the well, won't it? Should looking removing panels. I suppose the heat gun idea would work if you don't want to demantle the well, it's still manipulating that area. Personally I'm all about being able to go back to stock.

if the tire is rubbing against the top of the fender liner, it's too tall.
if the tire is rubbing against the inner/outer sections of the fender liner, it's too wide.

tire size vs. sidewall height

235/35-20 - 82.25 mm
245/30-20 - 73.5 mm

that's why a 245/30-20 will not rub as much as a 235/35-20. for tires for 20" wheels, go with 30 series, not 35 series.

Any 30 series tire will not be safe for pot holes. I'm going to be running a 235/30/20 and I already know to keep my eyes peeled..

Come ride in my car here in Cali. I've driven 100MPH plus and driven in San Francisco. I'm running this with no rubbing and I'm Slammed! You gotta leard from experience. You guys are too scared! Just wait till he runs with the wider tire and runs it all up.

Well because u never hit the pothhole hard hiii, i have 245-30-20 which cover my 8.5 width wheels, i hit pothhole several time never have a chip in the lip, but two weeks ago i hit this pothhole at speed 40 mph and my volk lip bend :-(( but no chip on the lip, the reason i want to say go wide is to protect the lip

I'm slammed as well running 9.5 inch wide in the rear on a 225-35-19. I've hit potholes. My car is fine.
