Default 2006 is250 idle issue!

Here's the issue, feel free to comment:
A few weeks back, i was driving and i came to a red light and stopped. When i came to a complete stop, the idle dropped below normal and began to sputter. It has literally only done this about twice........maybe 3 times. But its enough to **** me off. I also have a loud idle, where it has a "click, click, click....click" noise. I am taking it into Lexus tomorrow to be checked. Anyone have any suggestions before i head into the hell that is the auto dealership? Please help.

the current "fix" is to replace rings and pistons on the engine. And yes it's expensive.

i called them and they said in severe cases, yes pistons and rings..............but for situations in which it isnt bad, they do an induction cleaning. The mechanic said that replacing the rings and pistons will not prevent the problem. The issue will keep occuring regardless. They do however have a full clown cleaning for those situations which are not bad......................which mine falls under. Its only done it twice, so i am having it cleaned. Better safe then sorry.

I sure hope for your sake it is not a "full clown" cleaning

IS350's don't have the carbon build up issue, probably something else going on with the car. Wouldn't really worry about it on a 350 unless its a common thing.

Well i have an Update:

Took the car into the dealership. They did the diagnostics on it and everything. Turns out the computer recorded misfires and there was carbon build up. They contacted Lexus corp. and sent in a request. They are doing a full rehaul on the engine. The induction, senors, Pistons, Piston Rings.............etc. For freeeeeeeeee. Came to about 7,500.00 that Lexus is billing out...........would of been close to 10k for me. So yeah.............there ya go.
