LED DRL or Halogen?

Sylvania Silverstars might be a decent alternative. Search Google for a few beam color comparisons between stock halogen and the Silverstar bulbs

I would recommend getting bulbs from theretrofitsouce.com . I know they are not a vendor and Im not trying to hate on Xenondepot but here is a thread on HID bulb quality. I just want people to put there very best in there car and not get ripped off. Here is the thread just for http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/show...mparison/page9
Just to inform people on quality of HID bulbs I just want to make sure everyone can have non failing bulbs

I'd thought about "white" halogens like Luminics or PIAA's; problem is that they will still be yellow in DRL mode b/c they're only running at 30% (or something like that), the only time they'll look somewhat HID'ish is in HB mode. I'd like to eliminate yellow in all modes.

Yep, had nothing but HID's for the past 6 years; my previous car had retro-fit projectors w/ Retro-Solutions HID kit and all (3) of my current cars have OEM HID's. On a dark, country road, none of them are strong enough and I always need the HB's to extend visibility range. Trust me, I wish I didn't need the HB's.

Hondadna4: I'm not sure what you're implying by not wanting people to get ripped off?
LED vs Halogen:
Your high beams will illuminate in areas that your low beams cannot (should not) hence losing your high beams is quite detrimental to your overall light output in my opinion. I would suggest going with a quality halogen bulb in your high beams / DRL which may give you slightly "whiter" output than your stock bulb but better overall light output. We have had very good feedback from our customers that are running the Osram Nightbreaker plus bulbs in the high beams / DRL. These bulbs are rated at the same wattage as your stock bulbs so you do not have to worry about damaging your OEM wiring/headlights and they are completely street legal.
