so from what i was told the unit will only fit the 2009-2011 IS models, they do not have a unit for the 2006-2008
oh well, and im also currious if the unit has no stand alone mic, how is anyone using factory bluetooth with this unit? the price i was givin was ok, but no support from manufacture in future is a no no. at least when i email fly audio they call be back within 10 mins and address all concerns. good luck to all who buy once again and enjoy the new toy.

maby you dont know but im quite sure there is a difference in a harness, just by the looks of the pics ive seen and the harness in my car. and also i have a 2008 IS that had factory nav already and i had to modify 1 harness plug to resemble a IS that did not have nav so i could install the fly audio unit ( which i did sucessfully), so maby i mis stated myself, will the china unit 2009-2011 model plugs fit the 2008 IS plug, and the one im talking about is the one mounted on side of factory unit. notice the j53 connector on left and j54 connector on right, the left one is the plug that is for IS that have factory nav, the one on right is IS plug without nav, i had to make the one on right so it would plug into the fly audio unit, my question is will the plug on right fit the 2009-2011 china unit, the j54 has 14 pins the china unit is 12 i think or at least from what i see.how many plugs does the china unit require to plug into the IS ? because the fly audio is at least 2 that im for sure aware of any possibly 3, the china unit shows only 1 plug, the one that goes into radio and then into car plug.

I talked to the seller a few times , I repeatly asked him what was the difference between both models and his answer was " the ac vents" . If he is selling this unit he should know what his talking about. However, If your car has factory navigation then I think the harness will be different

just took another look at the plugs that come with the china unit and i believe there is no way that will fit a 2006-2008 connectors in the car. if anyone buys one for thier 2006-2008 IS and it plugs in exactly let me know, but i seriously do not think so. i have an 08 and my plugs look no where near those china plugs, off by 2 pins, 12pins in thiers as opposed of 14 in mine.
