If I am understanding linus correctly you will only need to do the mod IF you had factory nav installed. If you did NOT have factory nav before then it should be "plug and play".

My car does not have a factory navigation . What linus is saying is that his car came with factory navigation , but in order for him to make the FA unit plug and play he had to change the plug to a non navigation plug. Now , what linus wants to know is if the chineese unit will plug and play with a 06-08 model because according to him the plugs might be different .

The seller contacted me to inform me that my unit will be shipping out before Tuesday of next week. According to her a DHL tracking number will be peovided. I can't wait to receive this unit that's the only way to let people know if this unit is plug and play.

seems like so far you are the only one below a 2009 who has ordered one, i sure hope it plugs and plays cause i will order one too and ditch the fly audio, cause the usb is extremely slow at playing my video files. anyone who orders this unit should use igo primo 2.0 navigation it works very well with my fly audio unit.

I can't see how the FA unit is inferior to the cheaper ones.

yes 2nd gen and has latest updated bios and other updates as well. i really like the fly audio unit and the looks of the screen compared to factory, just that damn usb is so slow at loading files and the fly audio mp3 player does not play files from sd card anymore, i have to use the igo primo music player and it plays the files from sd card. im still waiting for a detailed review of this new unit! i wanna know if it is fast at loading 4gb of video on a usb drive and playing them as well, if nav works well, streaming music from phone and any other valuable info others can share.
