Default is350 VSC check light

2006 is350 with 41k
Check VSC light comes on and goes away when turning engine off. Today the VSC along with the other lights that comes on with it is on and won't go away even after restarting. Its Sunday and Lexus Service department is closed. So I decided to go AutoZone for a free diagnostic and here's what is got. First of all 2 codes. Oh the car has a Fujita short ram intake that came with the car when I bought it.

Code 1 P0301:
Cylinder 1 misfire detected
Probable cause
- Large vacuum leak
- Fuel system concern
- Ignition system concern
- Engine mechanical condition

Code 2 P0306:
Cylinder 6 misfire detected
Probable cause
- Large vacuum leak
- Fuel system concern
- Ignition system concern
- Engine mechanical condition

What could the problem be? Anyone has these issue before?
Let me know what you think could be? Going to take it in tomorrow moring.

Had similar codes with misfire, but my car ran like crap. So I decided to try and clean my mass air flow sensor with the appropriate cleaner and guess what lights go off and car runs great again.

Was autozone able to tell if they were "current", "pending", or "history"?

Have you had the car run rough before? There is a check you can do yourself that I highly suggest with the mileage. It sounds a bit weird, but trust me, it will help...

1. Start engine and let idle for 2-3 minutes (suggested to be at normal operating temp for this test)
2. Rev engine and hold between 2500-3000 rpm for 30 seconds.
3. Snap throttle to wide open then let off and let engine return to idle.
4. Now normally this will cause any vehicle to have slight misfires... however, if it misfires and runs like crap, then part of the condition is caused by excessive carbon build-up.

There is a TSB available. Not sure what the timeframe of coverage is for it, but the one part is for performing a top-engine clean.

Now if that does not occur, then it is something simpler like a ignition coil, mass air flow, etc.

Haha, that's what I get for not reading the whole thread appropriately! Thanks for pointing that out to me, and yes I completely looked past IS350 in the subject line, lmao

By the way I had this happen twice, indeed both times cleaning the sensor fixed the problem .

Go to the auto parts store and get a can of mass air flow sensor cleaner. Remove your sensor, spray with the cleaner, let dry. Install back on car and start it up and look for codes. Its supper simple.

Cleaned it, wait to dry and reinstalled it. VSC check light still on. I have no diagnostic tool so I can't check the codes.

Ok now take off your negative cable wire wait 5 min then reconnect. it should reset and clear all codes. Start the car, it probably will stall the first time you start it. Start it again. This should help.

Here at lexus and 45 minutes later they said im running low quality fuel. WTF...I've always pumped Shell station and premium 92 octane. Are they full of it or is shell not a good gas station. I've always thought shell gas was good. Is350 owners where do you pump your gas.

Seeing that your getting misfire check those plug in the cylinder. Switch the coil pack around to see if the miss fire change to a diffrent spot. If they do maybe a bad coil pack.
