Default HAS ANYONE HAD THIS PROBLEM ISx50???????????

I have an 06 is 350 with about 83000 miles on the car. Car is in great condition always keep maintance up to date, etc etc. After bringing my car into the dealership to replace the lca bushings and fix two oil leaks. My car still has a lot of "play" in the steering wheel. Especially in the center. I can be driving on the freeway and moving my steering side to side in the center and their is no response. The dealership is advising me to replace the entire steering rack assembly. Now the funny part of that is that my rack was replaced at 45000 miles for a recall. Did they replace the rack in the first place is my first question or did they replace it with another recalled rack or is it just a random fluke? Its extremely uncommon to need to replace your steering rack ONCE LET ALONE TWICE. Basically what i am getting at is has anyone had any issues like this or have any input. I already called lexus hq and told them the story.

How far side to side are you moving it with no response? Our steering is a little loose, I can movenit somewhat without it moving but not more than maybe 5-10 degrees as a guess

i definetly have a sold 5 degree at least after driving to work today too lol. I am waiting on my new sterering rack so hopefully that should take care of everything. The only other thing i can think it could need replacement.

Could your tie rods just be bad and not the rack itself?
